Will a LB jump out of an uncovered tank? I was thinking about getting one but my tank is not covered and i would hate to lose the lil guy.

I read something about how they are great jumpers. My tank is about half covered, I have been wondering if he'll ever make "the big jump"

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. Mine has had a steady weight loss over the past four months or so......I am in need of a clean up crew now and am getting a little nervous. Your 75g is big enough. Time will tell to see if it's dirty enough

I never thought of it that way. You are right though.

Mine only jumped when I tried to net him. Caught me off guard. Otherwise, he has been a good boy.

Doubt it. I just keep the back of mine covered with egg crate. If he jumps from the front he'll just bump into the canopy and back into the tank.

I've had an LB in my 75 for 8 months now. He never really helped much with big blooms, but if the tank is clean, he'll nibble at any small gha growth. He's gotten really fat, and keeps having to change to bigger holes to hang out in. I put a square of nori in the tank for the algae eaters a couple times per week.
Enjoy - lb is a great easy (IMHO) fish!

I love the LB's and I hope one day I have a tank that can support one. Congrats on the new guy and I hope you can find some prepared food he likes.

Any luck seeing it eat yet? I also like fish that are brown in color for some reason. My wife and my close friend both hate them.
