So i have one in my tank, he was one of the first I bought after my cycle finished and I absolutley love him. He has such personality. But as I was looking around on Liveaquaria.com I seen that they are known to nip at corals and clams, have you guys had any problems with them? I have been wanting to get a clam but maybe I will wait and see how this fish behaves.

i have had a couple, only 1 nipped at my clams..........however he did a number on the clam before I was able to determine it was in fact him!

Because of that, I will not get a lawnmower or a bicolor(the other culprit) in my reef tanks

they might nip at corals and clams if they don't have enough algae or prepared food to eat.
they just want the zooxanthellae algae:D

they can be destructive turds...not very calm or friendly either. i have a pretty big one and while i love him, he chases other fish and buries coral. they are safe but not the best reef dwellers.

I am really surprised by some of the answers on here. I loved my lawnmower blenny and always thought they were about as reef safe as you could get.

I guess it goes to show every fish is different and no fish is for sure 100% reef safe.

You will love them, they leave little kiss marks on the glass =] Mine chills on the very top rock then darts around real fast eating algae and then back to his rock. Its prettty comical to watch.
