i have had some problems with Hari alge. I know about the phosphate and have done all i can to eliminate it, but now it has not grown, but is still in tank.

I purchased a lawnmower bleny to eat it, but he seems to avoid the problem areas and eats off rock that appears to be alge free. any ideas to help me out? will he eventually eat the hari?

The blenny will only eat the hair if it's very short so if you can remove the long stuff, it should eat what's left. Assuming that the hair algae is not a toxic variety of algae like bryopsis that is. Adding snails and hermit crabs will also help keep it under control.

I had the same thing in my tank. Bought myself a Crafstman Lawnmower Blenny and he didn't touch it. After a while most of it went away. I just pulled the rest of it off(comes off rather easy). It's been about 2months and I haven't had any of it return. [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

    Hope this helps,
