i have had this lawnmower blenny for about 2 weeks now and hes doing great. He is strange though,my blenny eats shrimp!! seaweed and the flakes(spirula, seaweed sheets, frozen algae food, dont remember want the frozen stuff was,i fed to the fish in my brothers pond) i feed him,he dont even look at it.Also i thought these are supposed to be peaceful fish.He goes after my royal dotty back, and he owns the tank, all the other fish a scared of him.he is cool to watch and kinda watches out for my clown fish.

so is it normal for these to eat shrimp and not algae, and be agressive.

also so i dont have to post this in two spots.in the picture there is a mushroom i bought a while ago,how do i get it to reproduce or does it take two to reproduce my water is good. Thanks JOE downsized_0208091901.jpg

My eyelash blenny is the same way. Used to terrorize my damsels. And LOVES mysis, brine, scallops, etc.

yup, these guys can get territorial with anyone who takes up the same niche as they do inside your aquarium.

Thank you for this post.. I was almost going to get one of these, but I have changed my mind since I read this. I have an antenna goby and would hate for the blenny to push him around..
