So I didn't take any pictures until the tank was assembled, right now running for 4 days with 3 peppermints, 3 nassaurius, 3 astreas, and 2 scarlets. I'm planning to order a pair of tank bred H. erectus a week from monday. The tank is cycled with the help of 20 lbs fully cured live rock, 40 lbs live sand, and bio-spira. I am reading some nitrates and starting to get a touch of algae, indicating my cycledness.

    Couple pics so far.

Sweet!! Which horses are you planning on getting? You know that they need very little flow and pristine water conditions......right?

Believe me Luna, I know. This is the culmination of over a year of research. It will ultimately be 4 H. erectus.

I have some HUGE amphipods running around my sump on the reef. Last night I collected some and even got a couple micro-brittles and an asterina star and put them in the tank. It was the first time I'd ever seen a micro-brittle out as it moved to cover. Hopefully the few pods I got in there will find each other and start breeding. I also have 400 copepods coming from seahorsesource.com next week.
