@Magnus: You definitely want the "M" shaped stripping and I'm still unsure as to how you should be properly joining the bottom piece of stripping with the adjoining side pieces for the optimal "fit", however everything else is pretty much standard.

Yeah, I had some different clearances to deal with, however if you're getting the baffles cut properly, I doubt you'll have any issues. I'm currently having issues with water levels and my overflow box, so my pump isn't currently running, so I don've have any concrete data to prove that they will hold up after long term exposure to the water pressure.

I'll go to Home Depot today to see how much that M strip costs. I got my 30 long today, and I'm unsure as to where to put the bafflers. So the ability to adjust them would be a major plus for me at this point. At least until I get it all to a final stage.

Is it possible for you to post a picture here so I can see the construction and setup you're using?

Update: The baffles will not hold... Mine were in tighter than most (I would think) and the adhesive simply gives away on the stripping. I may try super glueing the strips back on, however all baffles have failed so far...

Sorry to hear that, my friend.
Thanks for the update. I was waiting on it to see if that method worked properly. It was promising! Maybe some more tweaking will fix it.

I bought Silicone and hopefully as soon as my sand gets here, I'll have everything ready for it.

Good luck to the both of us! :)
