No changes yet. Still looking the same everyday. The frag wound appears to be healing up now a little bit. I just dont know what to do with this thing.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Are you having any algae problems in the tank ?

And when you shine a light on it does it appear to have a shinny waxy surface ?

I would have thought by now you would have seen some polyp extention, weird.

Not having an algae problem and it doesnt appear to have any type of coating on it. Im at the point where i just want to take it off the nice piece of rock its on and get something more interesting on it.

So cut it off, and frag it up. Seems like the thing to do since the frag you already made seems to be doing better that the mother ship.

I say why not! If you like the leather look, maybe a nice toad stool. I am sure someone would be happy to take it off your hands. You could also frag a small piece and give that a try and get rid of the rest.

I think i'll give it a week or so and if i dont see anything by then i'll chop it off. Think the best way to get it off there is just to razor at the base? Or is there another way to get leathers to release?

Unless you want it to possibly grow back just take and use your fingers to pry it off at the base, being really careful not to tear it. It can be done I do it all the time to the Kenya trees that are growing all over my 56 column.

Other wise take a scalpel or a razor and cut it across the base trying to make one long cut.
