Leather coral toadstool problems.

i have had this toadstool for maybe 3 weeks now and i rarely have ever moved it...i have it in moderate flow in moderate lighting.....ihave 150w PC lighting 10k and actinic but the thing is that all my other coral are happy and opening but this guy is like half way opening...like the polyps arent opemimg all the way..does anyone no whats up with that?

 

they dont like direct flow.. at least mine.. and usally mine closes up late evenings.. just before my lights go off. hows your water parms?

 

could just need more time. the sooner you learn, the faster this hobby goes... patience is key!

 

Sometimes when adjusting to a new tank they will shed their outing coating, at least when I got mine it did that. Idk, maybe yours is doing the same.

 

How they do this I'll never understand. Mine does it every night at 8PM on the dot pretty much. My 10k doesn't go off till 10:30. The coral can really go on a pattern like this? Nuts.

 

I have a large leather in my tank, he can sulk a lot and sometimes he seems just to close up for no reason, and mine closes around the same time every day just about half an hour before lights off ! He hates direct flow.....patience is key!

 

yeah....for some reason he has been shedding like all the time but when he stops shedding he only half way opens....and my params are
