Looks like a toad stool of sort. . . Official name I have no idea but my LFS has a similar looking one to that.

Its actually a Devils Hand Leather, same family as the Toadstool obviously, but the Toadstool is kinda like a mushroom and would not grow taller but wider and more round. The Devils hand grows taller and grows more "fingers".

Leathers are pretty easy, but give them about medium to higher light, medium flow and give him a lot of room to grow. They grow pretty fast IME, i wouldn't keep any LPS with stinger tentacles near him either since they get stung and hurt pretty fast.

I have 2 large colonies of those in my tank. They do grow quickly and mine drops a frag about every week or so. My lfs calls them "Rabbit Ears" but I have also heard them called "Devil Fingers". It's hardy. A good beginner coral. Looks nice too when the polyps are fully extended.

Doesn't play nicely with sinularia though. My green and pink sinularias play chemical warfare with some other softies, in particular toadstools and devil's fingers. They just fail to thrive in my tank. Doesn't effect any of my SPS or LPS corals though, just some of the softies.

Yeah, i got a green sinularia right next too my huge toadstool, as long as you run carbon you should be fine. They have been right next to eachother for over a month now and both are fine.
