Is this a disease, or is it fragging?

Hi, without a clear understanding of what is happening I don't understand the advice of cutting it off. Some leathers, IE. Toadstools "bud" toward the bottom but that does resemble a bud of sorts. I also see polyps. I would leave it alone. The surrounding tissue where it is connected looks healthy.

Thanks for the opinions. I'll wait a little longer and observe what happens.
It started as a white spot. This is the second one. I cut the first one off.
There is another area with a white spot. It seems to be spreading, but it's not right next to this one. It's above the pseudochromis to the left, and there's one on the other side of the coral which I can't get a picture of.
    Thanks for the help.

Do you know the exact name of the coral? Google it to see if that is how it reproduces.

That is a sarcophyton and while leathers will tend to bud for reproduction, that is necrosis and should be cut off.
