Leather finger coral

    I purchased two corals from my ifs 2 days ago one being a cabbage leather which is fine the other afinger leather which is looking poorly, any suggestions are gratefully appreciated, it has closed up and gone a White velvety appearance?[​IMG]

    Welcome to 3reef. A picture would help diagnose the problem. Could just be acclimating to your tank. Sometimes it takes a few days to adjust. It could be dying in which case you need to remove it before it pollutes your tank.

    Can't see the picture. Leathers can take a while to open up when they come home. Sometimes even an established leather can close up for a couple weeks. It'll probably be fine.

    Welcome to 3reef! finger coral are very forgiving coral I would give it a bit it could be sheadding due to the fact your water is different from your LFS mine has only done this one time it lasted a week.

    This is the picture that the OP is trying to post.

    Does look kinda droopy, but somewhat normal considering it is getting used to new water and new lighting. Just my opinion.
