This was a new addition 3 days ago, it seemed alright the first night, but the polyps have not been out now for 2 days , is it just getting used to new circumstances, it does have a kind of shine to its skin, but its not soft and gooey, just shiny smooth?

Sounds to me like it's just adapting! Give it time and see what happens.

    don't worry

My finger has closed up in the past for long periods of time and has snapped back wonderfully its most likely adjusting to new tank.

They will get a slome coat over them to protect themself. I think mine took like 2 weeks to come back to looking good. This shouldn't take as long for you because mine broke some coming home from the LFS so it had to heal itself also!
