Ok well I've had it for probably a week now, I noticed today some discoloration on a few fingers. Anybody have any idea what's going on?

The coloring looks to be getting better,

I read that leathers shed their skin in different salinitys, not sure how true that is, but it could just be apart of this leathers acclimation period. I would watch it closely

Well the little polyps (? Idk what they are called) are closed on the sections that are discolored.

yes leathers will shed after being moved/growing or any other reason. try shooting a little water out of a turky baster at it and see if you can see the skin fall off

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Look like it is still just acclimating to me, your lighting is new a kind of intense for softies but it should get better slowly. If not try an area of lower light and higher flow IMO.

leathers always act up but are real hardy and will usually recover. i would reccomend dropping the salinity so that when evaporation occurs then hypersalinity should not be that big of an issue. and the same goes for hyposalinity when we add too much top off water. good ATO's are key to stable salt levels

Well I did some running around town today and when I left everything was fine. Not so much when I came home, the leather was closed up tight. I broke it loose from the spot I super glued it to and moved it to the bottom of the tank. I hope it works!
