I have several large leathers, toadstools, devils fingers and several small ones.

I realize they have toxins, but can I safely add some frogspawn, and monti (caps and digitata)? I use some carbon, and run the skimmer MOST of the time.
    Any extra steps needed?
100 gallon main, plus sump and fuge, toalstool is about 14-16" tall, 9-10" across. Devil's hand is large as well, 12X12"inches. Others are small, maybe four inches total.

    Thanks,

I know nothing about monti but you won't want to let the frogspawn touch any of the leathers, some of them will sting the crap out of other corals

I currently have frogspawn, Hammers, Torch, Birds nest (pink, green and purple), 5 or 6 monti's caps and digi's, spaghetti leather, toadstool, devils hand, Kenya tree and a boat load of others all in the same tanks with nary a problem. although none quite as big as yours...

As it has been stated, torches, frog and torch will sting and kill anything that they can reach and touch.

Frogspawn is pretty benign...I do try to keep some distance between them and leathers...don't bother Kenya trees in the least.

With mix of softies, you will have some serious chemical warfare goin on in tank. Carbon and regular water changes needed to keep diluted and not causing any harm.

You definitely don't want to mix softies and sps unless you have a really large tank. Or do allot of water turnover.

One of the clues I have that a water change is needed is that the Kenya trees start looking a little wilty which I believe is do to toxin buildup. Will perk right up after change.

I thought I had a really large tank!

My kenya (yeah, there's one of them in there as well... ) sits right between the devil's hand and the large toadstool... hmmm...

    I do 10% water change a week, so I guess I'm okay.
My previous attempt w/ frogspawn was less than wonderful (and costly) .
    Second try:
I picked up one 6 weeks ago and while it has shown some growth, it still seems reluctant to feed, stuff bumps it and it is moved around but never to the mouth. eventually it is discarded. (Feeding is done with little to no current)

Although I would not recommend having anything more that birds nest and Monti's I have never run into a problem and all 3 of my nanos have a mix of sps and softies in them. I have never used carbon with any regularity. As far as turnover goes I don't see mine being anymore that usual, in fact on my 16 its a little less that optimum because my return pump could be stronger.

I do how ever do a 10% water change every week, well almost every week and Omard is correct when he said to watch the Kenya trees, they visibly shrink till the water change is done.

As far as Kenya tree goes I really not sure there is anything that can actually kill one of them. I did have my torch a bit to close to one Kenya tree that I have and all it did was irritate it and it dropped a bunch of branches which now are growing into big Kenya trees.
