    Sarcophyton and Lobophyton Octocorals require at best moderate lighting! They do like to have a good water flow however, to remove detritus from accumulating on the head of the Leather, which decreases the polyps from opening up! It also reduces the mucus that develops on top of the leather as well!

    If you want to speed it up, I rub the top of them with my hand to remove the shedding skin.
