Well, I've done this before w/o any loss or disaster.

Leaving on family camping trip this morning.

After I get everything set up at home, I still keep my fingers crossed.

NOt having the neighbor feed or anything.

You may still want someone to just check on the tank, just in case you lose power, or some other crazy thing happens. Otherwise, I would think they would be fine for two days.

    Thanks Marshall,

They were fine, cleaned some algae off the glass when I returned today.

Nice. I would have just been too worried that something way out of the ordinary would have happened. Glad everything was good though!

I left my tank for 4 days during 4th of July weekend. Apartment hit 85, didn't loose any power luckily.

I'll be leaving it alone for 7 days in the beginning of next year. "Crossing fingers".

Are you using an automatic feeder?

Maybe, I don't use dry food. I only use frozen Rods Original blend.

It's only 7 days, I know it seems like a long time but the fish I have will be okay. I wouldn't feel safe over 7.

I did leave my a/c at 78F on the house

I've even heard of two weeks away- no feeding, and their fish were fine also!

I think you'll be OK too.

I had this same problem, and eventually bought a web cam for my fish tank ;D You can usually get a ip camera for under $100 if you have a wireless router, very much worth it!

Nothing like peace of mind while on vacation!
