    thanks GuitarMan89. I always run SeaChem SeaGel, i think i will just keep it close contact with my buddy and if he finds the tanks gurgling, i might just have him turn off the returns.

    Definitely get an ATO, they are such a nice thing, but they can fail too. Heck, my pump for my ATO failed last year and fried my fuge. :p
    I'm going on a week vacation soon too and will be cutting my light cycle down to 4 hours a day and overfilling my tank with RO water to compensate for the time away. If you overfill with saltwater, you will have a hypersalinity tank once the water level evens out, assuming you don't do a necessary WC and SG adjustment. Personally, I'd rather run my SG slightly lower by overfilling with RO and let it increase to a normal SG as the water evaporates.

    Didnt for me...adding a fan actually cut back on my evaporation by a lot...hmm
