    Just ordered a Icecap 250W/400W Pendant, Lumatech 250W Ballast dimmable to 150 (acclimation mode I call it), and Phoenix 250W 15K bulb. I'm floating this bad boy at least a foot above my Tank, and I do have a chiller just encase. I have central air, but I'm betting a chiller may be needed.

    I always swore by T-5's!! Now that I have my Halides, I dont know how I went that long without them! You are gonna love them. I also am using the Lumatek dimmable ballasts.

    Thanks Matt! In all the excitement I forgot to add my interests are going into stonies.. and making this a Super Nano! No but really next year coming income taxes my saltwater tank is movin on up to a 40-70 gallon cube... and no overflow box. Drilled.

    In many cases, a halide is a better solution than all t5ho. But in other cases t5s work better.

    In your case, I think a MH is a better idea.

    That would be awesome if I could scrap the chiller. I've been wanting to sell it. Used it for 1 summer
