led auto dimmers to simulate sunrise/sunset?

    hey guys ive been working on a couple of projects with leds and i was wondering if anyone knows of a good way to auto dim and brighten leds maybe with a timer or a seprate dimmer that can be triggered by a timer?what im trying to do is simulate sunrise and sunset so as not to "blind" my corals when they come one and possibly promote spawning. ive looked all over and cant find anything except super expensive fixtures with the lights, timers, dimmers and stuff built in. i wouldnt mind building a dimmer if anyone knows how to do it. any help is much appricated
