Im going to be pulling the trigger on a color LED build to supplement my AI's.

Right now im thinking 12 leds total.

    6 UV
    3 Deep Red
    3 Cyan

The UV would be on its own dimmable channel, and the deep red and cyan would be on a dimmable channel together. No optics to get optimal spread and avoid spotlighting.

I think 3 is too many reds on a 40B. I would do 2 max. I have one over my 28 and I can tell you that if there was 2, it would be too many.

So 7 uv, 3 cyan, 2 deep red.

I do think you should keep 1 or 2 deep reds in there, just not 3. Maybe replace one with a WW as mentioned.

7 uv is a lot too. I would only run 2 uvs max.

Well i have 12 leds to fill so what would you do, other than the 2 uv? I just did so much UV as mostly filler because what I dont want is spotlighting. So im just adding the 3 colors.

I would think between 4-6 would be appropriate for a 40.

I figured if it was a little much I could just turn it down. Thats why I'm going with separate dimmable drivers.
