Does anyone have any links to actual tests people have performed comparing CREE vs Luxeon vs Bridgelux etc?

All I ever see is theory and opinions and google has proved unfruitful.

I think it is a bit harder to say which is 100% better than the other. For White, I think Luxeon can sustain higher current which means the output is a lot higher than other brands, but I know CREE RB is great, and as far as for bridgelux, most companies using them for the color/UV diodes as CREE's RGB or UV diodes is not that great for coral keeping. I heard this from many ( 8 different manufacturers) I think even brand name like vega and Ecotech are using OSRM or EPISTAR or semiLED for color diodes instead of full CREE

Last time I checked was a year ago and Phillips had a better LED than Cree did with spectrum and pricing, but these things change fast. You should be able to download a pdf of any of the LEDs which shows light output at voltages as well as the light spectrum.
