its still a dream but if ever i do upgrade my radian gen 1 i was thinking of getting this.

    Giesemann Lichttechnik -

i would need the 1250mm for my 120 gallon (1500 mm long) or should i opt for two smaller modules? i have a centre frame in the middle of my tank.

but yeah, though i have done tons of reading in this hobby my knowledge of lighting is something i don't feel comfortable with, so I'm hopping some led/light experts will chime in….

Todd - I would say to start recommending the newer design, D2120 vs. D120. Biggest difference is the much better heat sink, and so only two fans vs. 3. Much, much quieter! Otherwise they have the same LEDs and function the same. Having the separate off switch on the D120 is nice so that you don't have to mark or remember where you had it dimmed to, but not a show stopper (the D2120 uses the dimmer to shut it off). Reef Breeders sells the newer version (the value fixture): reefbreeders

I used to have 3 of the D120 fixtures over my 125. I have since replaced 2 with D2120's. The difference in noise is unbelievable. So much so that I will soon be replacing the 3rd as well :)

Ditto. Im ordering 3 of the d2120's this week for my tank after a bunch of research. I think there like 10 bucks more than the d120's too so not bad at all.
heres the link to the ones im buying.

To derail further, I just bought one off of them last week. It came in 2 business days! Very good customer service from them.

I can't wait for mine to come in already. I ordered the D120 last week and it's supposed to arrive on Thursday. good to hear more of you advanced reefers using it as well.
