    Hi
I have a 55 gallons (standard) with some mushrooms and zoas under a t5 fixture... and next month I have to change the bulbs. But, I don't want to keep spending more than $120 every 8-12 month. Yesterday I saw this fixture :

TaoTronics 120W Acquarium Coral Reef Tank White Blue LED Grow Light- White | eBay

and I don't know if this a good quality fixture (has some decent reviews in Amazon). If so... How many of these lamps I will need for my tank.

I am totally open to suggestions!!!... If there is anything better than this, under the $400 (and DIY design is not an option, because I am a mess:-/) ... please let me know;D

    thanks 8)

I'm not saying these are crap, but i've seen them repackaged/rebranded a 100 times, and the reviews are never good!

thanks a lot for the information...!!!

But a really want to know how many LED I need for tank (55gallons - 48x21x13).
A fixture with 55 LED (3 watts each) will be enough for soft coral and some easy SPS?

    thanks guys!! great forum... 8)

The 48 LED kit from Rapid should fit your tank perfectly.

Go with more if you can with dimming option... The ownership of softies and easy SPSs is just a stepping stone for more light-requiring corals, LOL
