LED for Chaeto

    I don't know for sure, but i don't believe there is enough PAR generated from the LED's.

    a couple cheapo CFL flood lights would work fine. could house them in a homemade canopy if wanting it to look pretty.

    Background on this, is I am building a Mantis tank and wanted to put some Chaeto in a in tank refuge from CPR. I was hoping to use LED so I could get the benefits of the LED and grow some chaeto for water quality and reduction of Nitrates. Where this tank is going there is not room for a sump :(

    probly a small/cheap pc or t5 light fixture.

    I think they would work for growing cheato.

    Worse case scenario if I see the chaeto turning white, I would just add light at that point correct?

    Hopefully you will add light when you notice it turning lighter green.
