Has anyone here used one of those new LED bulbs from Home Depot/Lowes that are basically spot lights almost? I believe they have a 10k spectrum to some of them and use only 8 watt that is equiv to a 60 watt? I'm using a CF currently and was wondering if it would benefit me to switch to LED besides the savings cost? Thanks.

For a fuge - that may work - but many others will recommend staying somewhere in the 5500-8500K range for CCT on fuge bulbs - it suits the photosynthetic demands of marine macroalgae better than 10K + bulbs.
