I'm looking for LED advice. I purchased 2 Current LED ORBITs for my 125G 72" x 18" x 21" aquarium and hate them. I do not have a canopy so I have two choices. Set them on the glass or have them raised. If they are raised they are an eye sore while I'm watching tv/PC. If on glass they have terrible width. I cant see my fish half the time if they are in the top portion of the tank. Some how one of the controllers is fast, so they are never synced. I change the time and day later its 20 minutes fast...
My tank is currently a FOWLER, but I will go mixed eventually.
Ideally I would like to not see the LEDs when I'm sitting down, so I think pendants are out, unless they can be set on top. I'd like to spend $500 ish. Thank you for your advice.

If your planning on adding corals down the road you will need a fixture that will support them... I don't know of any led fixtures that have legs to rest on the tank that will support corals.... If your not "stuck" on LED's you could look into halide or T5 fixture... My last set up was a halide/power compact and the fixture set right on top of my tank...I have also seen quite a few other fixtures using bulbs that attach the same way.being that you have such a long tank I don't know if you would be able to light the entire tank for under $500 with led unless you go used.
