LED Info, Need Help

    Hey i was wondering i've never had LED before but before buying any i want to get the max info i need. So anyways here goes does LED burn your corals or will LED hurt any corals.

    I could be wrong, but I think the LEDs are usually used for the "moon lights". You use them at night to simulate moon light. I have 2 very small ones on mine and it makes a nice night light and you can still see your tank when the actinic and daylights are off,

    wow, that's crazy! Yea, I just thought they were little circle lights they put in the hood.

    Like I said, I could be wrong. (I think I'm the only woman that ever is :-/)

    It is possible, but it completely depends on what LEDs you are considering. If they are dimmable, you can adjust the light output to a suitable level for your tank/corals.

    They are not typically used. How important UV is to corals is often a point of debate. All I can attest to is that I've seen no significant change in growth from MHs to LEDs. In fact, some corals have began to grow quicker, especially the zoa colonies.
