Plasma produces enough heat to break the bonds of H2O and burn it:eek:

wow thats pretty awesome!!! Im sure you will get great growth on SPS with that high of the red range! only downside is that algae loves that too.
For a grand it might be worth looking into soon...?

I'm seriously thinking about it, not right now still building my setup. :) If I'm reading this right, 6 YEARS of use????

    Advantages:
    •
    Higher Photosynthetic Active Radiation (PAR)
Provides 180% higher PAR values than 10,000 K
400W metal halide aquarium lights and up to
500% higher PAR than standard metal halides
    (see Power Distribution Graph).

    •
True Colors – SeashineTM shows the lush colors
evident in marine life the way they would appear
in sunlight (95 Color Rendering Index)

    •
Controllable— Dimmable over a wide range: 20%
to 100%. At power levels below 50%, lights have
a pleasant blue hue perfect for aquariums.

    •
    Energy Efficient—Uses LiFi plasma technology
and only requires 290 Watts of power compared
to 450 Watts for most metal halide systems.

    •
Cost Effective Over Life—Over 6 years of use
(12hrs/day), compared to metal halide bulbs with
recommended replacement cycles of 6 to 9 mon.

    •
Cool Lighting—Generates less heat and near
infrared radiation than metal halide bulbs,
    decreasing cooling costs of tanks.

    •
Fast StartUp—achieves full brightness in 40
    seconds.
