I have (2) 120w Blueline LED fixtures (the fixtures are black), color: white:blue: 2:1. I have had them for about two years now on my 75G reef tank and have had nothing but problems with them. So I am looking for a little bit of insight or advice with my issues. Over the course of my ownership I have had to send them back to Champion Lighting 4 times now because of either the blue or white LEDs burning out. Each time they put in a new LED panel and ship the fixture back. I have tried a new timer just as a precaution but still the same happens. Basically if anyone knows why, how, what is causing the issue and what can be done it will be greatly appreciated!! As you know coral needs light so every time this happens it stunts the growth of my corals. This tank survived Hurricane Sandy, I am trying to keep it alive.

well not sure what might be causing it but I'm guessing build quality. What types(brand) of leds did they use?

fwiw I purchased a value series fixture from reef breeders and haven't had any issues with it so far. Been running about 3-6 months now I think. they've got higher end units as well but for the money I'm very happy. much better than replacing vho or t5 bulbs 2xs a year. In fact I'd like to buy another sometime as I have it mounted high enough above a 75 to cover the whole tank. Would be better to have two imo.

yeah i agree with you, i think it is the poor quality of the fixtures. maybe i can work it out with the company to upgrade me or even acquire a spare.

I bought a 4-bulb t-5 fixture from Champion Lighting over the summer. The fixture and the room it was in constantly smelled "hot". When I replaced the stock bulbs with ATI bulbs, only two of them would run at a time. Needless to say, I returned it with a full refund. The light wasn't for me, but they have good customer service, imo.
