I'm looking for advice. In about a month I'm going to start my new 210 gallon build. My old 120 had t5's but looking to move up to led. My tank is a AGA 210 two braces 72x24x29. I've been reading threads on LEDs but confused on which route to go. Considering 3xAI Sol, 3x reefbreeders photon 16 controllable, 3x onyx, or DIY rapid led. I will have neptune apex if needed for the controller. It will be a reef tank with sps, softies, clams, etc. Any advice or opinions would be big help. Thanks

Look at LEDgroupbuy DIY leds, Lumina DIY multichip, and Evil Clusters for DIY
Razors are a great choice for non DIY

We just decided to go with 2 of the Orphek Atlantik units over our 210g.

What are you hoping to keep? Exactly (shin) is the man on DIY. They have pre set packages for different sized tanks at rapid les that pretty much explain everything you need to knoq

Reef tank, SPS, softies. I looked at the per package DIY build but the last one listed is a 180 my tank (220) is 5-6 inches deeper. I've sent email to them for there suggestion.

I prefer LEDgroupbuy (Lumina Multichip and 3Ups) and StevesLeds (3UP, Luxeon M and other chips) vs Rapid but cost more.
Orpheks are nice but I think there are nicer fixtures, namely ones that utilize NW/WW
the ultimate DIY is def the Evil Cluster

Not a big deal, it's not that much deeper. You can just get lower angles lenses such as a 60 degree if you feel it is necessary. I don't know anything about the brands the lat poster mentioned but Cree has pretty much been the gold standard with Philips and top bin bridgelux doing the job as well. If you email them they are very good at responding with helpful info. What is your price range?

None that offer exactly what I want. I can get away with two units which will reduce clutter and it looks nice when compared to many of them, while still giving me nice options to play with.
