I am definitely a newbie at the aquarium hobby. I have a 110g tank that is 48x18x31. I want to have fish, live rock, and some coral. I just read the post about the sunbrite gen3 lighting and Im leaning towards this lighting system. So please give a advise if these will suffice or what is best for my tank size and depth

    Congrats

Welcome to the hobby. I'm no expert, but as far as LEDs go I really like the Aqua Illuminations SOL. I believe each unit covers a 24"X24" area, which means you'd need 2 and a controller. I don't personally have them yet, but I sell alot of them at the reef store I work at. I get alot of great feedback from the customers that use them and they have great features. I believe that AI just lowered the price of them also. You can check out their website and possibly locate a dealer near you. Good Luck!

4-6 Mazzaras would be a good fit too, I'm not too sure about the Ecotech Radion; either 2 or 3 would do the job I think. Really, it depends on your set up, you'll want something with good water penetration due to the 31" depth. But you don't need much back-to-front coverage because 18" is pretty narrow, I'm not sure if Sunbrites have the punch you'll need but somebody more knowledgeable than me can chime in.

with the sunbrites it has the option to add up to 6 tubes I believe. One of the moderator's posted it and stated 2 18" tubes put out 169 PAR at 24"s pretty good since you can add 4 more I think. Not sure though because Im new to this
