    Hi all,
Just putting together my new 65 build and am currently stuck on my lights. I am looking at a dimmable kit from rapid LED, but am unsure if I should be looking at the 36 or the 48 LED kits. I don't want to be limited by my light fixture as far as types of corals I can keep. DIY is not a problem for me.

I am also open to suggestions for other fixtures if you have them, but would like to go the rapid LED route.

Just wondering what your thoughts are?

I'll be sure to post a build thread, I have the tank and stand set up, the sump is built and everything plumbed. Just the lights and skimmer left to figure out for now.

    Thanks in advance,
    Jake

You could go either way, but I'd probably stick with 36.

Thanks evolved, I was hoping you's chime in! Okay so 36 sounds like the plan.

Awesome! Another 65 gallon with rapid led! I'm about to order the 36 kit for mine as well.

I guess I should ask for consideration for membership then! What do you say? lol

Or do I have to wait for the pics to prove myself lol.

yeah i guess id like to be considered for this unofficial 65 club lol!

on the LED, 48 is too much, 36 at full power should cover your needs and the best part of DIY is you can concentrate that light as you see fit for your tank!

I'll have to put my application on hold for a couple weeks! Lights are ordered (36 dimmable with 2x 15" heat sinks) and tank should be wet this weekend. Aquascaping as we speak. Build thread to follow.
