led lighting in the long haul???

    please ease my mind, can someone who has been running led's for some time tell me about them and show some pictures of maybe before them and after, i'm still not convenced there better than mh or not and i may need to buy lighting soon and i want you guy's and gal's knowledge so,as to make a good buy thanks.:)

    I still prefer t5's, or a t5/LED combo. You jsut dont get that nice 650mm spectrum with led's

    I think the white spectrum is too low on the LED, I think hybrid lighting of T5HO or MH for white and LED for the rest is the way to go right now.

    What kind of MH bulbs would you put with LEDs? Curious myself about a few years down the line. Evolved's setup looks great amazing growth.

    I would go with a 10000K bulb.

    If you build it yourself, you can get whatever spectrum you want pretty much ;) What's commonly available the hobby is not the same as what's available. What's commonly available to the hobby is just what hobby manufactures think you want.

    Exactly. If you want 650nm, then build it yourself and mix some red leds in. The growth results have been proven time and time again with led. There's threads floating around all over the internet.

    thank you for the great work you have put into your led's, there were some color shifts put the greens were better and the growth was good, i wish i had your skills, thank you very much evolved and also everybodys input on this subject it's scary to go from lighting that has worked for me but the cost is breaking me, now and i must try to lower the bill, thanks yall:)
