Before I go researching maybe you can save me some time....
How much soldering is involved and what roughly was the overall cost?
I'm planning a 29-35 gallon pony tank and LED's would be the best way to control a natural light cycle.
    Thanks in advance.

Depending on what types of corals you will be keeping, will vary the price greatly.

30 cree 3 watt bulbs would be enough to keep whatever corals you want in a 29 gallon but you don't need that many if you arent going to keep sps and clams.

For an LED set-up you need some things:
    1. Cree 3watt LED bulbs from nanotuners
    2. Heatsink
    3. Driver
    4. Power supply

This is for a setup with 24 cree bulbs. The attached picture shows how to wire them.

I got this supply list and the picture from Minadin on nano-reef. This is what I used to set-up my own LED system. His supply list and picture really helped me out so i thought i would share it with you 3reefers.
