    I'm thinking maybe this, it's a little expensive but I think I could manage. And I actually get a decent price on 48" bulbs at my LFS. Managers been a good fried for a while. Get the bulbs for 5$ a piece.

    That seems very complicated for the results! alot of fixtures for an end result! Seems like 2 heatsinks and the right optics would do the same!

    GU10 3w bulbs are for 4$ each. all u need to do is make a good fixture. u also get 1w and 4w too. im gona make 1 for my tank a few months down the line. the bulbs have very high intensity so it should be kept atleast 10" above surface of water.
