I am in the process of setting up a 20g high reef tank but im completely unsure about what and how many leds i will need to light and be able to grow small zoas and corals.. I currently have a 55g with a t5HO setup and i cant seam to get anything to grow to save my life.. i was wanting to use

10w SMD 10W Cool White HighPower 800LM LED Lamp Bulb 12000K | eBay

3w1 pc 3W High Power White Led 12000K 150LM Aquarium Led | eBay

if someone could tell me how many i would need for a 10w setup how many and what color. and the same for the 3w cree style leds..

    current 55g .. looks a little on the ******* Side :(

If your having trouble with maintaining the 55 I would suggest not setting up a smaller tank. Smaller tanks generally leave less room for error. IMHO

i was just going to get everything from a friends 4 year old 29g tank he wants to break down. all i would need is to buy\DIY a light . it has a penn plex 500 and a Bak-Pak 2 skimmer that i can get everything fairly cheap from him..

the 20g high and custom stand ( i need to finish) i want to use :)

why not get a couple of par30's from boost or par38's from Rapid LED.
