So as some of you know the 370G tank is coming down. I will rebuild a 300G tank with a simpler design and not have it as a in wall tank.
But I'm starting to think about LED. My next tank will likely be 72 X 36 X 27 in and I will be keeping SPS and clams.

So far I'm really liking Reefrepublic fixtures. Anyone else have info on 6 foot LED manufactures?

    Thanks
    J

I don't suppose you have any interest in going the DIY route? I don't know much about large LED fixtures, but I look forward to tagging along to find out.

those lamps look really nice. Have you seen Vertex? Aqua Ilumination modules are also very cool.

I would diy it with rapid leds you do about 4 12 led sets and spend about 500 - 600 total and you should be fine.

JL Aquatics has the Vertex in 72" for $3800.00

Vertex Illumina 200 LED Lighting Fixture (72 Inch)

I have no affiliation with JL Aquatics, but I do order from them on a regular basis. They have good prices and free shipping if you spend over $100, and it's not like spending over $100 is difficult to do when you keep a reef. ;-)

Thanks everyone. I have promised my wife that this build will not be "getto" at all so My DIY skills and my promise to her has made doing DIY out of the question.

I've heard a few comments on the sped of the Vertex LED fixture but I'll be doing a lot of research on that unit as well.

Hey Toronto Guy Ya J&L rocks, It's even better when you can walk in the shop. Being a quick drive away everyone there knows me by name. there a great bunch of guys.

You're lucky to have them as a LFS! I haven't ordered any livestock from them yet, but I have ordered a lot of equipment and dry goods. Nothing local to me really competes with them in terms of price and selection, and the ability to buy certain things in bulk sizes to save even more cash.
