LED lighting

Blue Moon Aquatics 5000 Lumen / 15000 Kelvin (460nm) LED Pendant

would this be the led version of a metal halide. what kind of corals could i grow under this

 

maybe equal to a 175w... it seems like it is a very blue fixture if the daylights are rated for 15000k. ive never seen one have 15k daylights?

 

no reviews and no pictures to show what this looks like in action.. hmm..

 

thats what has me thinking if i should try it or let someone else be the test dummy

 

i agree, there is no reviews to back if it even works properly to maintain a corals lighting needs.

There may be a clue in there description....

If these where anywhere near worth a set of halides, they wouldnt be comparing them only to Standard Fluoresent, especially if there trying to push there product. IMO

Probably a decent fixture but I would be skeptical to think it is any thing more than even a HO Fixture.

 

agreed. all the high output fixtures use CREE led's that are super high powered. occasionally luxeon led's are okay
