LED on Order for BC29

Definitely subscribing to see how your camera picks up the light. I really dislike the pics they have on their site.

 

Not sure about too much, depends on the optics. But you don't want to use optics if the LEDs are more than two inches apart. You star getting the spotlight effect...

I am pretty sure it will look greeat without the optics and provide plenty of par.

LED Lights are in!

My LED lights from Nanotuners finally came in on Friday. All I can say is that I am amazed and it was worth the wait. I ended up splurging and pretty much went with every option. This is the 4.6 Cree LED kit. Here are some pictures:







This is day two, I went with the variable voltage and can set on 3, 4.5, 6, 9 or 12 (Nanotuners recommends not going on anything higher then 9). I currently have mine set on 4.5 and it looks amazing with the corals responding great!





So after two days, my corals are showing colors I have not seen before, expanding more then before, my tank temp has gone down two degrees and my chiller is not running as much. So far so good, I love the color the LED's put in the tank and the shimmer effect has even caught the attention of my wife (in a good way)!

 

wow, that looks sweet. I would love to upgrade but that takes away from my 120 gallon build but that is far away I think I might have to take the plunge....glad to see you are satisfied...

 

Well I am optimistic at this point. I added an Acropora yesterday as my test to see how things do. If I can see it flurish in the next 30-60 days I will be very satisfied

very nice, a lot of people on other sites have really gotten into LED and nanotuners has some awesome led kits for AIO tanks. the tank looks really good !
