led question

    I'll preface this question by saying i know very little about led lighting. I have been trying to research and understand it has to do with lumens more than watts but after that.....

    OK, that said, what would these LEDs i found on eBay lack to support a reef system?

    Hydroponic 900 LED Grow Light Blue White 4 Panel 52w 4' Aquarium Coral Reef Lamp

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    The bulbs do not have enough strength to produce the PAR and penetration needed for reef tanks. I doubt they would be enough for a planted tank either.

    They really need to be tested with a PAR meter to be certain though.
