Just because they are accents it does not imply that they cannot add extra power. I did some research and there are people with very nice tanks that only use these strips to light their tanks.

Those are not powerful at all and are just accent lighting. Do you want to make your lighting more powerful, or just make it look more blue?
LEDs put out very little heat so no, not really.

Are you sure you aren't thinking of the panorama strips? I've seen 5 in a biocube hood, but it wouldn't have enough depth penetration for your RSM.

I was under the assumption that these would just be actinics? Not the daylights, correct? For that I would switch the PC lighting for panoramas.

From what I can tell, both the stunners and pano's are flat on the back. Refer to this image...those are just screwed in.

How much room do you think you have in there? Let me check to see if I can find the dimensions if these.

Stunners are, Panos aren't. To me it looks like it is finned, just like on the pano retro 36.

This is frustrating. I cannot find a single photo which shows the back of the stunner strip. They all seem to be flat(to me)..like in this image. The user has it screwed to the tank lid. The top and middle strips are stunner. The other two strips are panoramas.

The blue stunners would be on all day only for color/looks. But if I hottie panoramas then I would get them for perfomance. Would the stunners make any difference on my coral at all? ( besides color)

I've seen just stunners used; I've seen just panoramas. I've also see a mixture of both, like in the image I posted, above.

The 450-470nm wavelength will improve pigment in corals. But for better growth you will want to get something like a 10k-14k. The more white range is better for growth...the stunners have a mix of both white and blue. I think the panos might be more intense light.

I forget how big your tank is? I know it is mainly soft corals.

Do you want to use these in addition to your PC lighting or do you want to take out the PC and switch it all for LED? If you switch it all out I would get:

    453nm blue

    8000k white

    8000k white/ 453nm blue

    403nm UV
