    Hi all :)

I recently bought this fixture. As you can see in the specs, the light can be pretty intense (14000K - 20000K). The beam angle is 120 degrees and the fixture is going to be hanged 6"-8" above water.
and now for my question: I am planning to have a mixed reef tank. My tanks dimensions are 24 x 20 x 23.8” (RSM 130). How should I program my lights? I don't want to have too much light. What will be optimal for coral growth?

    Thank you :goldfish:

The Kelvin rating refers to the temperature of the fixture, not how intense it is.

If you already have coral in the tank, start each channel at like 25% and slowly ramp up every week as you see fit. Generally takes anywhere from 6-10 weeks depending on the coral and how they take to the new light.

If you don't have any coral in the tank, I would find the color spectrum you like with each channel around the 30 to 60 % range. Once you start adding coral, adjust the intensity according to how the coral react.
