I ordered these led strobe lights from ebay and was wondering if they're any good for lighting a refugium. Here is something similar to what I bought....

    http://cgi.ebay.com/US-44-LED-Flashing-Blink-Strobe-Lights-WHITE-Lamps-R_W0QQitemZ350179255177QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item51884f6389&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A4|39%3A1|72%3A1205|240%3A1309|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A200

I just cut off the control box and connected the the lights to a 12v ac adapter to prevent it from flashing. The reason why I want to use these is they produce less to no heat. My PC fixture alone is creating too much heat so I don't want the light for the refugium to add anymore to the tank. Thanx in advance

Going to keep mostly chaeto and red mangrove. I think this is the first post about led strobe light for refugium so I'll experiment a bit then give everybody the result. The light is very bright and I can pint point where I want the light without reflector.
