Last night after the lights had been out for probably an hour, i was watching tv and the blue string flashed real bright for a sec and then went back out. I came home today and the blue string isn't working. The leds are lit, but barely at all. Usually they stay this way after the controller shuts them off, as I leave the meanwells plugged in all the time, the leds usually just are on but barely visable at all. That's the way they are today. Do I just have a bad driver? Anyone else been down this road? I havent had a chance to dig into yet since I'm still at work.

Sorry I can't help, but here's a bump for your thread. Hopefully someone from the evening crowd can provide some assistance. :)

Just now had time to look at it. Swapped drivers around. All my drivers are good, but the blue string doesnt power up higher than a tiny little glow. I'm assuming my leds are blown? This rig has been running for 2 years nonstop with no changes to the setup. What in the world would have cause them to just blow all of the sudden? Now I'm worried about using that driver on another string and it blowing them too. Doesn't make sense to me.

Check for anything that caused a short in the string. I had salt creep build up on mine in a years time and they hung 12" above the tank. It finally made a contact to the heatsink which caused a short and blew the first few led's in the string. The rest would light dimly just like you are describing.

+1 I had a string do this and it was a short X 3, just individually test each led, look on rapid leds page for problem solving, it shows how to test a small string to find the short.

Hmm, I dont know of any reason for there to be a short. Fixture is clean as a whistle. Gonna have to check into it this weekend. Damn tank looks like a freshwater tank with no blues on.
