I have fish and corals that will fos-Flores. Would it b OK to use a black light to get the glowing feature they posses. Or should i just stick with the Blue leds?

i would work with any bulbs that would be labeled actinic to get your colors to pop more. also what lighting are you currently using for your corals?

watts per gallon isn't really relevant its all about PAR, that is a whole different animal, for you fixture i would switch out 2 of the bulbs w/ actinic and maybe change your other bulbs to a 14k or higher spectrum assuming they are 10k in there now as stock usually is.

black lights have been shown to have potential long term negative affects on corals with continuous use. Stick to the actincs and just use the blacklight to amuse the friends and family for a few minutes now and then.

I want one. Too bad I'm trying to get an eel. I wouldn't want to spend $100 to soon have that be a meal. lol
