Leighton's 300g upgrade (sold my bowfront will now be a 300g upgrade)

Can I get more pics of the sump lay out? Was it custom?

 

Leightons was custom made due to first chamber drilled and sump being cut to his dimensions. He also added a 3 probe holder..

 

Holy skimmer and sump man! They almost look too good empty to get dirty. Everything looks incredible. Keep up the good work!

 

Of course let me snap a few and like jonathan said it was custom after much deliberation and help from him and steve from bashsea we got this sexy sump out lol

I will be using my skimmer externally so the first area is smaller then it normally would be. The first area in the sump is where the overflows will go as well as with the mag 24 to run my skimmer I like to refer to it as "the Beast" cause that thing is huge and unbelievable high quality built. I wish that i could turn it on already. I will be doing a review on all the products when i get my tank up.

 

Insane build quality from Bashea. Im looking forward to your review. Im sure it will be nothing but positive though. Cant wait to see that skimmer up and running. A MAG24 TO RUN A SKIMMER!? Thats awesome. Lol I have a mag18 and it moves so much water. I cant imagine what a mag 24 would do for your skimmer.

 

Yes its recommended to run it with a Mag 18 but when I was talking to Steve he said to to get killer performance out of the skimmer grab a MAG 24 and really it’s kind of over kill but for a skimmer over kill is good lol.

They also have a pellet reactor (coming soon) and carbon reactor that I will be grabbing so i have a matching set of everything.

 

The "little" return pump reefwerks ordered for me lol I huge thanks to jonathan again he actually called reeflo to see what would be the perfect pump for me so here is what i got



Inlet is 2" FNPT
Discharge is 1-1/2" FNPT
1/8HP motor
1725 RPM
Straight Centrifugal

The best thing about this pump is its silent!! as this amazing setup will be in my living room. When ever i get my Ca reactor sent out reefwerks is going to drill a probe holder in the top and test it out for me to make sure the it seals properly. More to come stay tuned.

 

So the water enters the left rear corner? Then What's in front of that?
In about 6-8 months new large tank for me so I am trying to get some ideas!

 

There is filter media in there and in the left front is where its returned to the DT. If you are intersted in upgrading even in a few months jonathan will hook you up with everything you need and TONS!!! of info 608-609-6215 give him a call or pm him on here im sure he will answer.
