After I read her comments I removed the "nonchalant", because her comments were pretty passive, I agree. But I still find the general tone of this thread as offensive, instead of offering help and factual opinion.

Anyways, Tracy, you know it's a risk. So I'm sure if the angel starts harming any of your corals or clam, you will remove them to safety.

I have no idea what you're finding offensive.

I think Kacy is more going for the fact she is willing to take the risk. Tracy has a few ideas of what to do with the moving around if set things happen. She just hasnt posted them from talking with her. Anything in this hobby is taking a risk. Adding any new livestock could upset the balance of ones tank. Often people post about their adding angels to reefs and the curiosity with what "might happen". And often those people dont have far to many "concerning" comments.

You do have a good point though, they may behave one day but not the next. All one has to do is be prepared with a game plan. She may have been nonchalant about her post but she does care about her livestock. Trust me she does.

I disagree. IMO the tone of the thread is appropriate for 3reef. I haven't read a single reply that I felt was offensive. The OPs comments saying it's ok to risk the lives of other tankmates to satisfy a desire to make a purchase--could provoke disdain, as has been seen in other threads--but I have yet to see any such comments made here.

I did want to rescind my previous comment about moving the wrasses to the 20, I didn't realize what types of wrasses you had and IMO, they wouldn't do well in that sized tank.

As to the addition and risk of this angel, many other people do add dwarf angels to their tanks. They are a very common angel. However, some dwarf angels are more prone to nipping corals and clams. Many of the most common angels such as corals beautys, flame angels etc. IMO have a less of a risk then the lemon peel angel you want.

Personally and IMO, I do find disdain for a fellow hobbyist who will unreasonably risk their corals and inverts. Also, find it confusing when you (OP) mentioned the expense of the fish and not having money for it, then saying the clam was only $50 and she wouldn't care if the angel killed it. I only mention this as I believe it's hard to be taken seriously when you contradict yourself in such a manner. IMO, it gives the impression that you're planning and livestock choices for your tank are not well thought out.

I fully support adding new livestock, finding interesting specimens and changing your tank around to suit your preferences, but I also believe that we as hobbyists must maintain our tanks with our livestocks' needs and care requirements in mind.
