Hello there, Fairly new to the forum. I have a 45g cube in my lr waiting to come to life. I have kept a FOWLR tank for about 5 years.... 9 years ago! Would like to set this one up as a coral garden with some select fish.

That being said, I would like to keep a lemonpeel angel. I know there has been some discussion on if this fish would be reef safe or not, so I do know there is that dynamic.

I was hoping to hear what people thought would get the most success. Adding the fish before any corals were in the tank, or adding him after I have coral established.

    Thoughts?

i am in the process of acclimating a lemonpeel as we speak. they are beautiful fish but i have heard that they can nip at coral but also told that not all will. so i think its just luck of the draw but im about to find out. i have only a few pieces of coral in my tank right now so we'll see what happens. hopefully everything will be ok.

Please let me know how that goes! Is the fish still in qt or is he in the dt now? What kind of corals do you have? What other fish do you have?

I am very partial to the lemonpeel, my husband and I were snorkeling on our honeymoon this amazing coral formation and there were some lemonpeels there and they were so fun to follow around.

:) Might be a good way to control GSP. I was planning on staying away from the GSP as I have heard that it is a pain in the butt to control after it is established and have read posts from others that if they could change anything about setting up their tank it would have been to not add that coral from the get go.

Having no experience at all with corals, I really don't even know if I could keep that alive. ;_

i think if you keep gsp in the sand by itself that it might not spread so rapidly

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

I absolutely love lemmon peel angels, have wanted another one for years. But my last one began to pick at my elegance corals and other LPS after a couple of months in the tank.

Good Luck, they are beautiful fish. :)

Coralline, thanks-so that is one no. ;)

Would love to hear about any yeses!!

CBS3315-PBT-Powder Blue Tang? Stunning fish. On the wish list for sure, have to wait for a much larger tank. Hopefully he has settled down. They don't like anything that even remotely looks like them, bad case of jealousy I guess. ;)

Love to hear how he does with your corals. How big is he? Is it a juvenile?
