So I picked this little lady up this week end and she stayed burried from 4pm till 4pm the first day. She came out until 9pm when the lights went out, then in a puff of sand smoke she shot down into the substrate and stayed there till 4pm today, only to do the same exact thing tonight at 9pm.

I was told she would be out all day during lights on and only bury her self at light out. Is this just acclimation related or do some of them like to stay in the sand all day?

Yuor wrasse is probably just getting used to the tank. It will take at least a week or so for her to fully acclimate.

Mine has been waking around 7am and must go to sleep around lunch time (havent been around enough to notice the exact time)
my lights turn on around 4pm and off at 9.45 pm.
He's been in there a couple weeks now and so far seems pretty set in his routine. The tank is opposite a glass door that lets in enough daylight for him to see which might be helping him keep to his schedule. Also thefact that he may be asleep before the lights come on could have something to do with it.
He also still hasnt taken to frozen food very well yet.
He's still a beautiful fish, but I hope you have much better luck with yours!
