I have the blue star or some call it divided and it is my fav. Mine is now eating pellet. Just be sure to get one that eats at your LFS.

ive had my leopard now for about 1 week. he was eating mysis at the lfs, and now hes constantly picking on my rocks and he eats krill and mysis (what i feed his tank mates). hes beautiful and full of energy. best part is he doesnt bother his tank mates.

We saw the tank it was supposed to be in yesterday, but not the wrasse. We figured it was buried in the sand. Ever get that new regal angel to start eating?

For all you leopard wrasse folks, are they as busy a tunneler as I have heard? Been looking into them but I have heard some horror stories about them turning tanks upside down.

no, they don't spend the day tunnelling. they only dive into the sandbed to sleep, or if they become severly spooked. do what you're supposed to do - put in your LR, then add your sand - and you will not have a problem.

I'm glad to hear that a lot of people have successfully kept leopard wrasses. I'll try one someday when my tank is more mature.

FWIW, my tank was set up for only a few months when we bought the leopard wrasse.
As long as it eats frozen or prepared food at the LFS, then you're good to go. It will still spend its day picking at pods, etc on the liverock, but it won't depend on that source for its survival.

Cool, I'm going to the LFS tomorrow and if I find one that eats prepared food then I just might take one home.
